Re: :) Neil Degrasse-Tyson one of us.

Gil I don't think the fact that the food is genetically modified is causing toxic soil. It is a fact some genetically modified foods allow us to use pesticides which can cause these pesticides to enter the soil and waterways which potentially can cause toxicity. All our food is genetically modified...

Re: Olympics

Aw come on - Congress spent millions of dollars trying to derail Clinton's reputation. It would have been a total waste of taxpayer money if it had had no effect whatsoever. In the Olympic sport of mud-slinging, we Americans have won every single medal up for grabs since Wallace ran back in the day...

Fear of a female president?

http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2016/10/fear-of-a-female-president/497564/ I especially find the quote that the U.S. has become "too soft and feminine", entertaining. Really how did we become feminine and soft? What is wrong with femininity anyway? I think they have a strange s...

Re: Olympics

Of course once again. I am not thrilled with anyone who is going to be on the ballot of this election. I'm so tired of games and agendas and the political see-saw. People say they don't want corruption blah, blah, blah, but they'll accept it from someone who shares their basic beliefs.

Re: Olympics

Incidentally - there is a lot of chat on the Internet whether Trumps' "quiet" speeches are a consequence of some enforced Xanax sedation, or if it is true that Kellyanne Conroy really has emasculated him. I think maybe he realized that in reality he would not be elected because he s...

Re: Olympics

You might think this is some lead-in to a weird joke, but I am also terrified of heights. No - honest. More than two steps up a ladder and the shakes start - walking along a cliff top has me close to breathless with vertigo. For a reason I have no idea how to explain, when at the controls of an air...

:) Neil Degrasse-Tyson one of us. Not in a borg way...

I didn't know where he stood on the question about deities. Apparently he is agnostic.

Re: Olympics

As a pilot (PPL only but if you visit SoCal I could take you for a trip in one of those very small, but very safe, single engine little planes for an aerial adventure, say to Catalina and back after sampling their local bison burgers) ...oops, too long a side step...So to iterate from the start: as...

Do you mean the fast ones or the pretty ones? ;)

Both! I love iceskating. I used to skate as a kid. The feeling of gliding across the ice feels to me; the way flying feels to pilots?
