Re: How to achieve a believable belief?

Adding up to zero and starting from nothing are two different starting states. I don't like Krauss method, But I tell theist you can't just say "oh, I don't believe that stuff" to a guy like that. It gets so annoying being dismissed out of hand by someone that doesn't know what they don't ...

Re: Why would a deity want a sacrifice?

The problem is that it is valid only in a " perverted theologically twisted way." However, it doesn't make sense in a rational way either. so I am at a loss there and so his is valid by default. I always thought it was use to show the leaders had accountability. although observations say t...

Re: Free will

2142 Posta diners later. we are in the exact same spot. monism as a religion falls as short as any other. But as a model of reality used in conjunction with other models monism is good. "pluralism", by definition, uses everything at our disposal to analyze events. So I would lean towards it.

Re: How to achieve a believable belief?

make claims based on what you do know. And UNIFORMITARIANISM. with a physics degree we would understand "something" over "no-nothing". "no-nothing' just makes no sense even with the little we know.

Re: Why would a deity want a sacrifice?

This was one of the reasons I didn't believe the adults had the traits correct way back in elementary school. I would ask 'but he made us?" :?

Re: Evolution, Politics and Religion

this is different. Most people pick a candidate for simple reasons. I am guilty of that. I mean I voted for bush because I thought he was lip serving the pea brain liberal then he was going to take iraq's oil and pay off our debt. How stupid was I. Seems like a I could used a brain as big as a pea. ...

Re: Can Atheists And Agnostic Worship?

Bollox! You claimed axe, then a made false claim, now I am bullying. Now let's get back to the point. basically it is accountability of one actions. I posted: If a person admits "its anger because they were tricked" I am totally ok with that. They can rail on me, heck, I'll even tell them ...
